The Word I stand on

God gives me the desires of my heart because I delight in Him
Ps 37:4

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

I Roll all my care on him for He cares for me
1 Peter 5:7

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

He supplies for all my needs according to His riches in Glory
Philippians 4:19

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I have favor with God
Proverbs 3:3-4

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.

He blesses me more than any other people
Deuteronomy 7:13-15

He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He keeps me from all harm and watches over me by day and by night
Psalms 121:6-8

He is my hiding place from the wind and a covering from the storm.

He gives me the power to make wealth so He can establish his covenant.

And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

He delights on my prosperity.
Deut 30:1

Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your fathers,

I have been made the Righteousness in Christ so I can claim Psalms 112 for myself. I will not be shaken

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor 5:21

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.  His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.  Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.  Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.  A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.  Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.  He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.  His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.  He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.  The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish. God has a special plan for us

Have you ever found yourself wondering what God thinks about you, or even if he thinks about you at all? It can seem daunting that in a world of over 6 billion people God can single us out and think about us. And it may seem ludicrous in the light of all the chaos, War, hate, and our own disobedience that He has any good thoughts toward us even if He does think about us.

Sadly, that is our human concept of God. You see, it is difficult to see things outside out own experience. We all have jobs, chores, and tasks all over the place. We deal with traffic, the outrageous gas prices, the annoying neighbor or fellow car pooler. We speak to our boss and those we work with, and then there are the customers. We deal with home issues, late night television, report cards, and the new hole in the roof. After a hard day at work or at school we carry our feelings on our sleeve, and on the edge of our tongue. So when we think about God we understand how impossible it would be for the Creator to think about us.

But that is not the case. God is so much greater than any experience could ever enlighten us. He is so much bigger than our problems and even bigger than the world's problems. He doesn't have his hands full. On the contrary, He can do all things and He is poised to bless us and help us grow up in Him. It was so important for Him that we should know this, that He wrote it down in Jeremiah 29:11 which says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

The devil will attempt to keep us from calling on our heavenly Father in our time of need, but that would be the worst thing to do. We have a heavenly father that loves us and has done the greatest thing He could ever do in order to save us, His children.

So, as you sit there in front of your computer screen, take a moment and talk to Him. Talk to your heavenly Dad, and draw near to Him.

Thank God for Forgivenss

"Praise God for His forgiveness!" Let me say that again, "Praise God for His Forgiveness!"

Have you noticed that whenever we do something short of God's perfect will the evil one is quick to condemn us. Even though he isn't invited to the party he interjects his opinion and attempts to drive a wedge between us and our loving Father.

Let me warn you, this trap will only lead to condemnation, depression, and strife. What we must realize is that God is Love and He has already forgiven us of all things. This may be a little difficult to understand since we come from a world of "righting wrongs". ie if someone does something to us we expect that person to repay, repair, or restore whatever it was to its' prior condition. So when we fail at something we expect God to react the same way.

The reality is that before you did what you did or said what you said, Jesus had already repaid, repaired, and restored it. So when we fall short the best thing we can do is to run to Him, get it off our chest and receive our forgiveness.

He loves us more than we have been able to grasp. Let's RUN to Him and receive His miracle of forgiveness.

Love is God's Base

I am convinced that everything God does is motivated by love. The beginning, the creation of all things, the blessing given to Adam and Eve, the promise of a redeemer, the law, the prophets, the redeemer, the freedom we enjoy in Christ, the power of His Name, His glory, the authority and power to enter boldly to His throne room and receive from Him all are reflections of His Love.

A dear friend and I were talking and reflecting on how Jesus prayed in John 17:23 that we should know that God loves us just as much as He loves Jesus. This revelation is one that should propel us past the petty one-upmanship that plagues so many of our Christian bodies. It should bring us to a level of loving one another and others as Jesus did. After coming to the realization that we as followers of Jesus are loved by God the Father just as much as He loved Jesus, should elevate our rhetoric, our willingness to forgive, and our overall testimony.

We don’t need to fight for His attention, forgiveness, or love- it’s already ours. We don’t need to prove to anyone how much more deserving we are over anyone else to receive His Mercy-it’s already ours.

All He calls us to do is to reflect the same love to others, to show others how much He desires to love them too.

Let’s cast off the struggle to be worthy, and embrace His love that was poured out on us (Romans 5:5) and love our family, and our neighbor.

• John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
• 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God.
  

God Cannot Lie (If we believe Him, we cannot lose)

If God said it, it will happen. There is no turning back. There is no shadow in His words. There is no need to search to find out what He means because what He says is exactly what He means. There is no way His words will fall to the ground. And there is no way they will not go out and follow through with His will…as long as the man He is working through continues to walk in faith.(1)

God gave man power and authority here in His creation called earth. (2) So when God speaks, if there is nothing in His way, then what He says happens immediately. So what are the things in His way? Man’s will! For example, look at Aaron, Moses’ brother. He was given God’s Word but he refused and as a result he could not enter into the promise land.(3) Later we see that an entire generation that was moved by their feelings, emotions, and senses were denied entrance to the promise land and the rest of the Hebrews had to wait until they passed away.

God loves the world and His creation. He doesn’t want anyone to perish, die, be destroyed, or be banished like Satan will be. But if the man refuses God’s love then God’s will is thwarted. (4)
In the beginning, Adam bowed his knee to experience. By listening to Satan and doubting God’s Word, Adam, in essence said, “I want to see if this tree really is what God said it is.” This is an example of him choosing experience over obeying the Word. Similar to a child who is told by his parent not to put his finger in the electrical socket. The child has the choice to obey the WORD or choose experience. It is the will of the parent that the child succeed and live without pain and discomfort. But it is the desire to see-feel-taste-smell-hear for one’s self that takes the child down the path of experience.

In fact, the desire to experience is an innate prideful desire or impulse. By choosing experience the child is basically saying, “You may be right or you may be wrong but I’ll find out on my own.” It’s an egoistic act based in doubt and distrust.

This is the reality in which we live. It all boils down to this … Do we obey the WORD and receive God’s will? Or do we choose to doubt and live by experience?

Experience is much more than just desiring an event. It is using our five senses rather than depending on God. Let’s take for instance the boy David. He and the whole Hebrew army could see the giant called Goliath. The Word of God had already been given with regard to success and battles. But it was only David who took God at His Word. By TAKING God’s Word, David ran toward Goliath with the full expectation that God was good for His Word and that the huge giant in his path was small and already defeated. He said “No” to his senses and “Yes” to God’s Word. This action brought about God’s will. (5)

In order to walk in God’s will, we must take God at His Word!
